Tuesday's Tracks

This weeks Tuesday’s is distinctly British with a double dose of Bashy. If you haven’t heard Bashy’s mix-tape yet, you NEED to cop it, he’s been slowly but steadily stepping up levels for a while now, and now he’s ‘doin the damn thing’! Shout out to Bashy, your Hustlin Ard!!!

The first one’s Davinche feat. Clea and Bashy, the tunes ALOT, although there’s something not quite right about the video...

Davinche feat. Clea and Bashy – Riding For Love

The second one’s Bashy on his own, I’m feeling the chorus and the more I hear it the more I like it, plus I like the little dance routine, it’s not something you often see from an artist that came from the grime scene.

Bashy - Who wants to be a millionaire

Tuesday's Tracks

This week's Tuesday's track is a massive one, and the video's even better. I'm feeling where Dizzie's going with his recent singles, he's going "Ard" with the UK sound party tracks, it's a good look!
Dizzee Rascal - Bonkers

Tuesday's Tracks

This week’s Tuesday’s track is an absolute banger. It’s been huge in the club and is blowing up the radio airwaves at the moment.

Tuesday's Tracks

I’ve been talking about the UK garage/grime/urban/black whatever you wanna call it scene with a few of my friends recently. And personally I’m really feeling what Tinchy Stryder is doing right now. It’s a good blend of hip-hop/hip-pop/grime and pop, imagine that... I didn’t even think that was possible. In any case Stryder Man has come a long way since ‘Tings in boots’ and to me seems to be carving out his own place in the UK musical landscape, which is a testament to the guy as many “urban” acts have tried and failed in attempting to do so. This particular track has been getting loads of radio play and really has the potential to do things in the commercial charts.

Tinchy Stryder Ft. N-Dubz - Number 1

Tuesday's Tracks

Chin Chin are a band from Brooklyn, they’re not signed to a major label as yet and to be perfectly honest I don’t think they’ll be off the back of this. However, I am really liking this one and the video to match.

Chin Chin - Go There With You

Tuesday's Tracks

Jazmine Sullivan's fourth single. Directed by Syndrome, who also directed her last video “Lions, Tiger, & Bears”. “Dream Big” was produced by Missy Elliott and is Jazmine’s first single in the UK from her debut self-titled album so you should have heard it already. We’re loving what your doing Jazmin.

Jazmine Sullivan - Dream Big

I liked this one as soon as i heard it. The video is a bit outlandish though...
Calvin Harris - I'm Not Alone

I said to look out for this one last week, so I thought I’d bring you the remix nice and early.

Tuesday's Tracks

So it's that time of the week... That's right Tuesdays Tracks!

These guys have definitely cemented their own sound now. They had a great 2008, and I think this one’s quite catchy too.

The Ting Tings - We Walk

If you’re not familiar with The Dream, at the beginning of his work you’ll hear the sound bite “Radio Killa”. His projects include Rhianna’s ‘Umbrella’, and J. Holiday’s ‘Bed’. Definitely look out for the remix of this one feat. Fabolous, Juelz Santana, Rick Ross and Ludacris.

The Dream - Rockin That Thang

Tuesday's Tracks

This one got into the week’s Tuesday’s Track’s for the video alone! I think the technology used is nothing short of amazing. The tune is BIG on its own and I have to give credit where it’s due. Originally I wasn’t sold on Kanye West’s album “808’s and Heartbreak”, but now I like pretty much every track on the album, so if you haven’t already got it, you need to go out and cop that! Unfortunately the word is that this won’t be released as a proper video because someone else has used the technology, which in my opinion is a REAL BLOODY SHAME!

Being an early champion of Lady Gaga my next track is her latest release. The part of the video where they’re on the subway really reminds me of the 1979 film ‘The Warriors’.

Lady Gaga – Lovegame

Now this one get's a place for comedy value alone, it’s absolutely hilarious! Watch out for Justin Timberlake’s cameo appearance as the shop cleaner.

The Lonely Island – Jizz in My Pants

Tuesday's Tracks

I’ve found myself humming this one regularly over the past few weeks. However in the performance at the Grammy’s T.I’s timing was out at the beginning, I think this may be due to a bit of over excitement on his behalf with the Grammy's being his final performance before his imprisonment.

T.I. feat. Justin Timberlake - Dead and Gone

The second track we’re keeping distinctly UK. I’ve been shouting about La Roux for a while, but this remix from dub step dj/producer Skream is way better than the original.

La Roux - In For The Kill (Skream Remix)

Tuesday's Tracks

Jazmine Sullivan - Lions, Tigers, & Bears

Certain members of the family tree have been banging this one for a hot minute. One of the biggest RnB tunes of 2008 has finally seen the video released.

Ghetts - Sing for Me (Remix)

I was loving this one from the first time I heard the snippet at the end of the original. I’m thinking Ghetts might well have a big year. Personally i’ve been a fan for a while and this one should be a banger!

Tuesday's Tracks

Coldplay - Life In Technicolor ii

Once again hats off to Coldplay, the album is SICK so id definitely recommend a purchase. This is the latest single and video from the album “ Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends”

David Guetta & Chris Willis - Everytime We Touch

David Guetta had a major 2008, and hopefully 09 will be just as successful. This ones not exactly spanking new but i’m liking the sound.

Tuesday's Tracks

Being that Tuesday’s Tracks happen to fall on probably one of the most uplifting and possibly the most important day in my life regarding world news, I thought that it would be only right to conseider the inauguration of Mr Barack Obama. Thus, two of this week’s tracks are in celebration of this momentous occasion

Young Jeezy feat. Naz – My president

Daft Punk vs. Adam Freeland - OBAMA

Tuesday's Tracks

Firstly I have to apologise for being absent of late. Between the festivities of Christmas and the flu bug, I’ve had my hands pretty full. Anyways, back to it! Today’s Tuesday’s Tracks are pretty diverse.

Kooks – Sway
First of all we have the Kooks. Lead singer Luke Pritchard once again lays down a neat vocal. I’m loving the real UK feel and sound of these guys, and the guitar solo is SICK!!!

JME – JuJu Man
I’ve wanted to post this for a hot minute now. Personally I think the beat is sick and the lyrics are joke!

Tuesday's Tracks!

I got three tracks for this week’s Tuesday's Tracks.

Justin Timberlake feat. T.I - If I

This one's a pretty big one. With T.I's last album being a huge success, it looks like his going to get as much hits and features in as possible before he does his bird for various gun charges. Justin Timberlake and T.I seem to have formed a nice partnership, and I’m sure this will go down well.

Keane - Spiralling

The second track has been around for a while, but the more I hear it the more I like it, and it sounds better when you banging it with some volume from a proper set. It's unusually up tempo and current for a Keane track especially with the electro flavour. I’m feeling the video too.

Lady Gaga - Just Dance

The third and final track this week is Lady Gaga’s debut single Just Dance. I’ve been harping on about her for a hot minute, so I thought I’d post the first video that got released in the US, no doubt 2009 is going to be a big year for her.

Lady GaGa feat.Colby O'Donis-Just Dance from Ducky on Vimeo.

Tuesday's Track!

This week Tuesday’s track was a hard one, for me, there’s only been one track that stands out that we haven’t already posted about on the blog:

T.I – Swing Your Rags
Me and my boys have been banging this one for a hot minute and it’s become something of an anthem. So get your rags and do as the song says!

Tuesday's Tracks

This week’s Tuesday’s Tracks was a hard one. So many possibilities but only three places... There’s been a lot of tunes recently that I don’t think have received the commercial success they deserve, but hey "thats the way the cookie crumbles", Hmmmm, here goes... I think I’m going to have to go for;

Coldplay feat. Jay-Z - Lost
Once again Coldplay's musical genius is a winner, and with the hip hop legend that is Jay-Z, this track got me from the first time I heard it.

Jim Jones feat. Ron Browz & Juelz Santana – Pop Champagne
Everyone is running up on the vocoder thing, so props to T-Pain, and Teddy Riley before him, then Stevie Wonder before him, now that's what i call musical foresight. I’m feeling the little melody on the middle eight that comes in before each verse, I would have liked them to use it a little more though.

Oasis - I'm Outta Time
Oasis are back after a year in hibernation. But from what I can see their coming back hard. I’m not sold on the idea that this will be an Oasis classic like "Wonderwall" or "Don't Look Back In Anger". Nonetheless I’m feeling the tune.

Tuesday's Tracks

Every Tuesday, I'm gonna post 3 of my favourite tracks across all genres, keeping the flavour eclectic, we'll call it "Tuesday's tracks", feel free to drop me your thoughts.

Take That - Greatest Day

Estelle feat. Sean Paul - Come Over

Kings of Leon - Use Somebody
